Heritage Walk: Reading the Landscape Around the Mansion
A FRIENDS OF VALENTINES MANSION EVENT
Join the Friends of Valentines Mansion for a heritage walk, concentrating on the built environment of the historic gardens of Valentines Mansion. It will be led by experienced garden historian and horticulturalist Dr Stephen Smith, who began his gardening career at Valentines forty years ago. With Stephen's extensive knowledge and lively style, you won't be disappointed!
Pay on the day. Ticket prices £5, or £8 with a guidebook which includes information and maps - not only showing the location of Valentines' existing historic garden features, but also details on features now lost but within living memory.
Meet outside the mansion at 2.20 pm for a prompt 2.30 pm start. The house will also be open on that day from 12.00 noon until 5.00 pm. Entry is free.
After or before the walk, why not meet up in the beautiful Gardener's Cottage Cafe in the Walled Garden? Open 10.00 am until 5.00 pm.
